Starting a School Garden

Starting a School Garden

Dear FCMA Community,

The Peace Council is excited to announce our new climate action initiative: the creation of a school garden housed in a greenhouse on our campus. This green project aims to foster environmental stewardship, promote healthy eating habits, and support our community.

To make this initiative a success, we are seeking donations from your gardens. Specifically, we need:

  • Vegetables: cucumbers, carrots, broccoli, radishes, green beans…
  • Herbs: rosemary, thyme, basil, dill, fennel, cilantro…
  • Fruits: strawberries, tomatoes, melons, blueberries, blackberries…

Your contributions will be used for cooking projects, nutritious snacks for our students, and to support community members in need, ensuring no one goes hungry and promoting a healthier lifestyle.

Please bring your donations to the school office, starting Tuesday, May 28th. For larger donations or questions, contact us at

Together, we can make a positive impact on our environment and community

Thank you for your support.

With peace and determination,

The Peace Council

P.S. Be on the lookout for posters around the school about this exciting project!
