Dear FCMA Families,
It is with great excitement that I introduce Sheri Folta to you as the newly appointed Assistant Head of School. Sheri was immediately embraced by students, staff, and parents upon her arrival as a lower elementary teacher this past school year. Her enthusiasm and personality are contagious, which shows through her commitment to FCMA.
Sheri’s professional career has included over 17 years of teaching and leadership experience. Most of these years were working with diverse and at-risk students. Her years of teaching have included fine arts subjects (K-8 th grade) and self-contained lower elementary classroom teaching. Before finding her home here at FCMA, as she would describe, Sheri was the Dean of School Culture which afforded her the opportunity to ignite and maintain strong relationships between students, families, and staff.
We are very fortunate to have Sheri as part of our amazing community here at FCMA. Together the staff and families of FCMA have built a foundation to enable each student to succeed. Our mission is to provide an exemplary education through a nurturing and stimulating environment that enhances each child’s intellectual and emotional gifts, leading to responsible compassionate citizens.
Education and lifelong learning, community, integrity, compassion, and excellence are the core values we uphold, and I can assure you that Sheri will uphold these values personally, as our Assistant Head of School.
