March is reading Month at Four Corners Montessori Academy

March is National Reading Month, and we at Four Corners Montessori Academy have been hard at work making sure our students explore their passion for reading. We have done so much this month to keep our students engaged, and want to share the news with our community as Reading Month comes to a close.

The first thing we wanted to highlight was our series of book readings on Facebook, starting with Ms. Stacy reading, “Maria Montessori,” and ending with Ms. Marianne reading, “How to Catch a Dinosaur.” It has been a joy watching our staff and families gather online, and reading the responses from our students and families has been heart-warming.

We also want to showcase our Pajama Day/Book Swap, where we invited students to enjoy a pancake breakfast with us in their pajamas and select from our collection of donated books to read this month.

The last thing we wanted to feature was our Scholastic Book Fair. We hosted a book fair from March 20th to the 24th, and were glad to see our students dive nose-deep into books ranging from the Guinness Book of World Records to Harry Potter. A portion of all proceeds went back to our school, and we were so proud of our young ones for their participation.

March has been an incredible month for us at Four Corners Montessori Academy, and we hope that the passion for reading continues as we approach the end of the school year. There is always plenty going on at our school, so be sure to follow us on social media and our school blog!
