Four Corners Montessori Academy Receives School Improvement Award from Oakland University

At Four Corners Montessori Academy, we greatly cherish our partnership between our authorizer, Oakland University, and our school community. That partnership has prospered as we both stay true to our goal of furthering public education in the Metro Detroit area. Our school’s innovative approach to education wouldn’t be possible without both our authorizer and education service provider, Choice Schools Associates. They both provide our school the resources needed to carry out our mission, and Oakland University has gone further to award our school with their School Improvement Award this year.

This grant helps us pursue our Montessori methods that lead to higher test scores, a better campus and happier students. This year, we are using the award towards bringing back in-person Spanish instruction with Bright Loritos, a local business dedicated to showing children other languages and cultures. The remaining funds are being used to purchase additional equipment for the middle school’s media broadcast program.

At Four Corners Montessori Academy, we wear our successes and achievements on our sleeves. We are so proud of our community as we continue to be acknowledged for our excellent student learning programs. We are well underway with another amazing school year, and want to give thanks to our families and our friends at Oakland University for this award.
